Trump and the cost of royalty

Donald Trump has claimed he is staying at his New Jersey home for the weekend in order to save money.

On Friday, the US president tweeted: “Rather than causing a big disruption in NYC, I will be working out of my home in Bedminster, NJ this weekend. Also saves country money!”

Two days later he reiterated his reasons, writing: “The reason I am staying in Bedminster, N J, a beautiful community, is that staying in NYC is much more expensive and disruptive. Meetings!”

The estimated cost of the President's trips to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida is $20 million (£15.4 million) in his first one hundred days as leader. Barack Obama's trips cost a total of $97 million(£74.7 million) in eight years.

Senior White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee told The Washington Post: “I think he’s trying to save the taxpayer money the best way he can by taking his team and focus and being in New Jersey instead of being in New York, where it would have caused a much greater disruption and a much greater cost to taxpayers”.

Melania Trump and the couple's 10-year-old son, Barron, accrue between $127,000 (£102,000) and $145,000 (£116,000) per day, or an average of $136,000 (£109,000), according to the New York Police Department (NYPD), for their stay in New York’s Trump Tower.

(($49,640,000 a year!))

The pair are expected to move to the White House in June, which suggests the overall cost to taxpayers could amount to $18.2 million (£14.6 million).

((That's a helluva moving cost))

A bonus of trash disguised within a legitimate concern is used to support the continuing movement to whitewash comrade Obama's dismal record and actions while ruling.  Yeah, we should all give thanks that Obama was so thrifty.

It's obvious that whoever is elected President, like Congress, is immediately addicted to spending the country further into debt.  It's turning out that Melania may be the mother of all lobbyists and gets whatever she wants from us taxpayers.

Melania, that the hell could you move into the White House that could cost $18.2 million to move?  Hopefully, we have been Fake Newsed.

Much of the costs of the Obama administration were lied about, covered up or misreported in order to make it look like he was “thrifty”. Obama claimed that his signature legislation, “Obamacare”, wouldn’t cost ANYTHING. Now we learn that it costs a LOT. Obama changed the unemployment reporting so that it appeared that things were moving in the right direction when in fact they were not. Obama caused the labor participation rate to dip to it’s lowest level in years, then tried to conceal that fact with the help and cooperation of a Liberal biased media. There are many more things that Obama has done, lied about, covered-up, concealed, misrepresented, misreported and blatantly gave speeches on knowing full well that his speech contained inaccuracies, lies, propaganda and misreporting. The media has been complicit in that it did not report the facts. Now that Donald Trump is President the Liberal media is doing all they can to lie about, cover up, conceal, misreport and misrepresent the “news” to make it appear that Obama was not the liar, concealer and propaganda artist that he was.

Thrift only comes by necessity and that means nearly all politicians have no use for it. They have an infinitely deep wallet, that to quote scripture ’ never can run dry’.

Keep in mind that these clowns were elected to represent us. I didn’t vote to spend ~$46 million/yr. on his wife to not live in the residence we provided with the job. That’s criminal!

The national debt has actually gone down since Trump took office, despite travel expenses. Trump has a much larger family as well, with more than a dozen individuals, mostly adults instead of school-age children, in multiple locations. And lets not forget who it was that added almost 9 TRILLION dollars to the debt. And while you may be tempted to blame that on Bushtard the Younger, the regulations and practices that led to the collapse were begun in the Clinton administration. And, of course, that doesn’t even apply to the first almost $1T that he gave away to the banks without even thinking to put any conditions on its use. They were giddy with excitement over their bonuses that year at the big Wall Street banks.

Trump’s doing a fine job of keeping Hillary out of the White House, well worth the money. Family members and other types of nepotism are a fast track to my hot button. What sizzled me was that Trump “never makes a decision before talking to Ivanka” the smartest model on the globe. I hope whoever has their finger on the launch button doesn’t break a nail. If you had to re-vote…… Cruz is starting to look better?

No, I’m sorry but, to me Ted Cruz does NOT look better. If I had it to do all over again, I would STILL vote for Donald Trump. I backed Ted Cruz for a while but there were things that made me look at him twice and I didn’t like what I saw. Compared to the past eight years under Obama, ANYTHING would be better, more truthful, more frugal, less fraudulent, less criminal and more U.S. centered.

Just kidding, I’m with you. I liked what Cruz was saying and his fire but he turned into a bitchy little Chihuahua. I tried to ignore the lying fake news but his attitude and tone killed him. With the same line-up, I would vote for Trump again too even though I wouldn’t buy a used car from the guy.

Yeah, initially I like Ted Cruz too. His vindictiveness, his arrogance and his willingness to change the truth were just some of the things that I didn’t like about him. As far as buying a used car… I wouldn’t buy a used car from anyone unless I had checked it out and took it to a mechanic first. There are far too many people who will say anything to make a buck these days.
